Anti-"Bowli-A-Thon" for Hope Works Domestic Violence Center (Ellicott City)
Fun and excitement for all! Registration includes 2 hours of unlimited bowling and shoe rental. Plus raffles for awesome prizes like overnight trips and gift certificates! Food and drinks will be provided by corporate sponsors. Only $25 for adults and $15 for kids under 12! All proceeds will be presented to and benefit Howard County’s Hope Works domestic violence center.

Summer Movie at the Wine Bin--Life of Pi (Ellicott City)
The Wine Bin’s outdoor summer movies run Saturday nights from June through September. Parking lot closes an hour before show time. The Bin offers a wine tasting before each movie and has coolers of ice to chill your beer and wine. Bring a chair and a picnic. (and a blanket). The Bin offers popcorn and bottled water to benefit Voices for Children of Howard County.

Arts in the Park (Woodbridge)
The Hylton Center and our Resident Arts Partners team up with the Potomac Nationals for an evening of fun! Come cheer on the P-Nats along with the Manassas Chorale, Manassas Symphony Orchestra, Prince William Little Theatre and Youth Orchestras of Prince William, as they take the field against the Frederick Keys. Coming to America: the Transnational Experience (Baltimore)

Judith Krummeck is a writer and broadcaster living in Baltimore. She immigrated to the States from Africa in the late 1990s, and is the evening drive time host of Maryland’s classical music station, WBJC. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing and Publishing Arts from the University of Baltimore, with a concentration in creative nonfiction. She is the author of Beyond the Baobab, a collection of essays that explore the emotional complexities of becoming an American citizen.
