How Covid-19 Impacts Maryland Real Estate

To Our Clients and Advocates:

As your trusted real estate experts in Maryland we want to update you about the current state of the real estate industry in the face of the Covid-19 virus. Everyone is doing their best to keep business going while following recommended social distancing practices.

Many clients have shared with us the importance of continuing the process of buying, or selling, because life doesn’t just stop. New jobs, transfers, and life changes all still occur in this time.

We are here to let you know your whole life does not have to come to a grinding halt. If you need guidance we are here as your trusted real estate advisors.

Modern technology helps us proceed with caution and safety…

Contacting Us:  You don’t need to meet with us in person.  We can connect through your mobile device or computer.  A video call is almost as good as meeting in person for the initial consultation.

Paperwork: We have the capability of reviewing and signing all documents digitally. It’s quick, easy, and secure, from contract to settlement.  Your lender will probably offer the same services as well.

Open Houses:  Open Houses might not be popular, but together we can work out a plan for viewing homes that you want to see.  If you’re selling your home and want to do an Open House, we will carefully screen people before they come into your home to make sure they’ve been pre-qualified. We can limit appointments to fit your needs and comfort level. We also have excellent cleaning services we can recommend after a day of traffic from private showings.

In previous weeks we were seeing low inventory of homes on the market and lending rates at their lowest.  It was win/win for both Buyers and Sellers.  Now we may have to wait and see, but if your circumstances don’t allow for that, we are here to guide you through the process to give you the best outcome.  This is always how we’ve done business and will continue to do so.  At your pace, when you’re ready.

Through all of this if you know if someone who has important questions about home buying or selling, feel free to call me. Take out your phone and let’s have a conversation about how I can share important information with those you care about.
