Embassy Tours (DC)
Washington is home to 177 diplomatic missions and embassies, but they're often closed to the general public. Except during the month of May, that is, when the European Union Embassies' Open House (May 14)  Sample rum at the Embassy of the Dominican Republic, learn about coffee cupping at the Ethiopian Embassy, celebrate the Queen's 90th birthday at the British Embassy or sample tapas while viewing works by young artists at the Embassy of Spain. Lines can be long at the more popular embassies, but they're usually worth the wait.

Baltimore Lithuanian Festival (Catonsville)

Arbutus Arts Festival (Halethorpe)
One of the largest one-day festivals in Maryland. Includes 200+ handmade crafters, Children's Corner, Classic Car Show, and Beer Garden with musical entertainment. Back for the 43rd year. 

Artist Talk: Broomberg and Chanarin on War and Technology (Baltimore)
London-based artists Adam Broomberg and Oliver Chanarin discuss their exhibition currently on view in the Front Room, which points to the changes technology has brought to warfare.
