27th Antique and Classic Boat Festival (St. Michaels)
More than 100 wooden classics and vintage boats will be on land and in the water for this ACBS-judged boat show, including a selection of Chris Craft, Owens, Century, Donzi, Glaspar, Whirlwind, Shepherd, Trumpy, Lyman, and more. Boats range from runabouts to yachts, including race boats, work boats, launches, hydroplanes, and utilities.

2014 Shenandoah Riverside Festival (Brunswick)
Larry Keel Experience, Yarn, Kelly Bell Band, Holy Ghost Tent Revival, Dale and the ZDubs, Midnight Spaghetti and the Chocolate G-Strings and many more. River and Trail Outfitters will be there renting Tubes, Canoes and Kayaks!!! Kids Activities Food and Craft Vendors Beer Garden $55wknd

Washington National Opera: American Opera Initiative: An American Soldier (DC)
The world premiere of Huang Ruo's opera 2011 death of Chinese-American Army Pvt. Danny Chen. Based on a true story, the work focuses on the circumstances surrounding his death, including racism in the military and the courts-martial that were issued to his fellow soldiers. At the Terrace Theater. 

DC Shorts Laughs (DC)

A selection of comedy films paired with live performances by comedians from the local FunniestFeds competition. At the Burke Theater.

June 13th:

Shenandoah Run (Annapolis)

Friends Night Out (Columbia)

4th Annual Folklife Festival (Baltimore)

This popular annual self guided tour calls attention to these beautiful old structures and their importance to our agricultural heritage. Artists will paint at the barns on the day of the tour and an evening exhibit and sale will feature the paintings created that same day.

Bands in the Sand (Annapolis)
A fun-filled evening on the beach with friends, great live music, cool drinks, and mouth-watering grilled fare. Proceeds benefit the Chesapeake Bay Foundation.

Let's Eat Charles Street (Baltimore)
The Historic Charles Street Association hosts a street festival on the 300 block of Charles St. It includes restaurants of Charles Street showcasing their cuisine, live music, community booths, activities for children and retail and craft vendors. 

River Fest 2014 (Shady Side)

Music at the Museum Concert Series--John Emil (Ellicott City)
John Emil, an accomplished singer/songwriter, guitarist, and a master of slide guitar, has delivered show-stopping performances at major music festivals like the Lake Occonee Music Fest, the Florida and South Florida Folk Festivals, the Decatur Blues and Bluegrass Festival, the 2012 Bangor On Dee Blues Festival in the UK and the 2012 Zoetemeer Blues Festival in the Netherlands. He will be performing in the Howard County Historical Society Museum. Refreshments will be served and we welcome visitors to bring their own bottle of wine to enjoy the evening of the concert.
