Living History Weekend

May 27-28, Antietam: Volunteers portraying the 24th North Carolina, Company B, which was involved in the fighting in the West Woods, will present living history programs including musket firing demonstrations. All demonstrations will take place just outside the visitor center. Visitors are also invited to tour the unit’s camp and learn about what daily life would have been like for the average Confederate soldier.

Tulip Dig

May 27, Baltimore: The tulip bulbs are removed from Sherwood Gardens beds at the end of each blooming season to be replaced by new bulbs in October for the next spring bloom. At the end of May each year, always the Saturday morning of Memorial Day weekend starting at 7:00 AM the tulip bulbs are available to be dug and purchased for a nominal cost of 30 cents per bulb. Participants should bring a shovel or spade and a bag for their bulbs. Bagged bulbs are also available. Give this classic activity a try!

B'eat More Pie Fest 2017

Audubon's Baltimore Birding Weekend

Backstage with Serial's Creators

May 11, Bethesda: In 2014, Serial became the most popular podcast in the history of the form with its investigation of a 1999 Baltimore murder case.
