Howard County Fair (West Friendship)
Ends on Saturday!

Montgomery County Fair (Gaithersburg)
The largest agricultural county fair in Maryland; features farm animals, rides, food and entertainment.

Queen Anne's County Fair (Centreville)
Bring the family and support the youth and agriculture in Queen Anne’s County. Enjoy livestock shows, a rodeo, food, entertainment and more. 

Wicomico County Fair (Salisbury)
Join us this year at the Wicomico County Fair. All are welcome! There is something for everyone at the fair. Kids games, animals, home arts, auctions, entertainment, and of course lots of competitions.

Maryland BBQ Bash (Bel Air)
The Maryland State BBQ Bash is a barbecue themed street festival featuring live music, top quality barbecue, sponsor displays, crafters, a farmers market, beer and wine garden and children's entertainment. Maryland State BBQ Championship will have more than 50 competing for $12,500 in cash prizes and the chance to compete in the annual Jack Daniel’s World Championship Invitational Barbecue. There is a Tailgate Challenge too!

Shakespeare in the City (St. Mary's City)
Pack a lawn chair and picnic and spend an evening under the stars on the State House Green enjoying one of Shakespeare’s beloved comedies. 

Tour de Frederick (Frederick)
A premier 3-day cycling weekend throughout the rolling hills of Frederick County. Multiple rides throughout the event. 

WW II Weekend (Frederick)
Encamped “soldiers” and “civilians”; displays; family activities; living history demos; veterans; “Ike’s” mini golf course; children’s activity area; food & more. 

Enchanted Forest 60th Birthday Celebration (Ellicott City)
Clark’s Elioak Farm will be hosting a 60th Birthday Celebration for the Enchanted Forest on the anniversary of the August 15th opening of the Enchanted Forest in 1955.  The celebration weekend will be August 15-16, 2015.  There will be a ribbon-cutting for the White Castle at the entrance to Enchanted Pine Tree Forest at Clark’s Elioak Farm on Saturday, August 15.


14th:

Frederick Road Fridays (Catonsville)
Free concerts in the heart of Catonsville all summer long! Proceeds from beer and wine sales benefit local nonprofit organizations 

Traveling Bands Summer Concert (Various)
Ready for some FREE summer entertainment? Grab a blanket or lawn chair, bring the family, have a picnic and enjoy the sounds of summer! Refreshments available for sale. The Community Action Council of Howard County will be collecting non-perishable food items for the Howard County food bank at the August 4 and 14 Traveling Bands locations.

15th:

Choptank Rivah Run (Denton)
This fun two-mile paddling event for children and adults features a Poker Run, great prizes and a free shuttle back to Martinak. 

Gamer Family Festival (DC)
Video game play, arts and crafts projects and performances are part of this program inspired by the museum's collection. At the Kogod Courtyard.

Super Snakes (Oella)
What has no legs and no arms but climbs trees on its belly? If you know, or if you can guess, visit us this afternoon with Dr. Ray Bosmans.

34th Annual Gary Brown Memorial C&O Canal 5 Mile Run (Williamsport)
Five Mile recreational foot race on a out-and-back course along the shaded C & O Towpath. T-shirts to all finishers. Age-Group and Overall awards presented to top-finishers. Registration 6:45am - 7:45 am. 

Edible Plant Hike (Elkridge)
Visit the grounds of Belmont Manor and take a short hike around the property with naturalist Van Wensil. Stop along the way to sample summer berries and learn about other edible or poisonous plants.

Carroll County Farmers Market Peach Festival (Westminster)
75 vendors. Peach cobblers, pies, cakes. Plentiful local fresh produce, eggs, pasture raised hormone free meats, jams and jellies, gourmet foods. Entertainment by General Store Band. Starting site for Brain Injury Association's Eat a Peach Bike Ride. 

The Amazing Baby and Child Expo (Sykesville)
Great for Babies, Children, Tweens, Teens and the Entire Family. Enjoy a relaxed and fun atmosphere, from expecting parents, new and experienced moms and dads, child care providers, to grandparents, there's something for everyone!

Clustered Spires High Wheel Race (Frederick)
Discover the nation's only high wheel (penny farthing) bike race in Downtown Frederick. Bring your family and friends to watch this unique event and celebrate the history and love of bicycles. 

DMV DJ Mixathon meets Boulevard of Chic (Baltimore)
Watch local DJ's mix it up and shop the best in local retail with BOC's retail pop-up shops. Featuring a special headline performance by Gazzo. 

Hot August Music Festival (Cockeysville)
Don't let the heat get you down. Join us for the Hot August Music Festival at Oregon Ridge Park for great music and a great time. 

Legacy Day 2015 (Chestertown)
A parade of classic cars, drill teams, bands and floats. The celebration continues with live music and dancing in the street. Put on your dancing shoes and enter the dance contest.

Antique Car Show (Frederick)
Antique Car show of over 100 vehicles plus car parts corral. (F. S. Key Antique Car Club). Also, WW II Weekend activities in adjacent park areas. 

Iron Girl Triathlon (Columbia)
World’s largest triathlon for women, featuring a 0.62-mile swim, 17.5-mile bike and 3.4-mile run. A portion of the proceeds goes to local charities.
