American Indian Pow-Wow (West Friendship)
The American Indian Pow-Wow highlights the American Indian Culture. There will be arts, crafts, singing, dancing, storytelling and Native American food.

Art in the Park (Deep Creek Lake)
More than 40 artisans, Dixieland music, food, roving naturalist programs. Come by boat or car to this exciting event.

Baltimore-Washington One Caribbean Carnival (Baltimore)
The Parade starts at Noon at 900 E 33rd Street, travels along Alameda Street to St. Lo Drive. The Festival continues at Lake Clifton Park until 10:00 pm. Featuring entertainment, food and crafts.

Big Train Baseball (Rockville)
Come out to Shirley Povich Field in Cabin John Regional Park and enjoy a night full of baseball, fun, and affordable family entertainment as you watch the Bethesda Big Train of the Cal Ripken League!

Chautauqua 2015: Sporting Lives (Catonsville)
Join us for a living history presentation featuring Olympic gold medalist Wilma Rudolph! Have you ever wondered what it would be like to hear famous historical figures talk about their experiences and accomplishments . . . in real life? Join the Maryland Humanities Council at our annual Chautauqua and meet celebrated figures from our nation’s past, then talk with them about their lives, ideas, and impact.
Since 1995, when Maryland’s Chautauqua began at Garrett College, this summer event has spread to six locations, providing free programs for communities in every region of the state. Chautauqua combines scholarship and performance to present an interactive program that engages thousands of Marylanders in thoughtful dialogue.

11th:

The Kogod Courtyard gets a shot of adrenaline Saturday when some of Washington's professional athletes and celebrity mascots take over the typically serene space. Kids can take shots on goal with D.C. United players and shoot baskets with members of the Washington Mystics. And the Racing Presidents will be on hand for photos, as will United Mascot, Talon the Eagle. At the Kogod Courtyard--Smithsonian American Art Museum
Baltimore’s own High Voltage is comprised of five veteran musicians and is the most entertaining AC/DC Tribute show you will see. 

The event is held along The Strand in shallow water so all contestants can push their sunken sodden creations around the course. But with the crafty skills of some of the builders their exhibits of construction are most durable. Some of the crafts have been racing for over five years.… 

Enjoy live jazz artists and an array of seafood delicacies on the riverside lawn on the Potomac.

Shark in the Park (Westminster)
Come to City Park to celebrate the end of Shark Week. This is a family friendly event with Games, Crafts and Music. Shark Tale begins at 9:00pm. 

Taste and vote for top crab dishes by restaurant chefs in four categories during a downtown street festival honoring the Chesapeake's seafood heritage; tickets to the tasting sell out fast, so come early or buy in advance.

Celebrate the golden age of movie-going with Baltimore photographer and author Amy Davis as she presents photographs from her upcoming book, Flickering Treasures.

Support the Ulman Cancer Fund and the Pikesville Chamber of Commerce by participating in this family-friendly event in the heart of Pikesville. Festivities include a 5K Run/Walk. 
Step back into the contentious days surrounding the Declaration of Independence. Learn musket drill, debate independence, or learn how colonists lived.
A family-friendly FREE event at Mt. Rainier Skate Park! Live MUSIC by guitar-bass-drum trio Marc Blackwood, John Lee, & Matt Tebo, and DJ sets byInnerLoop. MD Skate Season is holding a skateboarding competition too.
