HoCo Historical Society's Bootleggers' Paradise II: Whiskey Tasting (Ellicott City)
The Howard County Historical Society’s Bootleggers’ Paradise II: Whiskey Tasting event is back by popular demand. The event will take place on May 23 from 7-9 p.m. at the HCHS’s Museum.
The 1920’s style Speakeasy Party and Whiskey Tasting Event with representatives from Whiskey America and jazz band the Will Fischer Orchestra will once again entertain.  This event marks the end of  the exhibit highlighting this time in history which is on display in the museum.  A ticket includes a whiskey tasting of five premium whiskeys, light fare and refreshments, and music.  Dust off that flapper costume, practice your Charleston and join the Howard County Historical Society and Whiskey America as we once again step back to the 1920’s.

Sauntering down the bluebird trail (Columbia)
Spend a pleasant morning learning about Bluebirds by walking a Bluebird Box trail with Wes Earp of the Howard County Bird Club and Robinson Nature Center naturalists. Ever wonder what nest you are looking at? During the program learn how to recognize the nests of different “cavity-nesting” birds that use bluebird boxes. During the mile walk, discover more about the cycle of nest building, egg laying, and the fledging of young, including how to age young chicks. Enjoy examining Bluebird house construction and learn how to place a box for optimum success. You must preregister for this program. Meet at the Schooley Mill Park parking lot at the farm house (first lot on left, top of hill). Ages 7 +. Cost: $5.00.

Festival of India (Baltimore)
On Sunday May 24th 2015, celebrate ISKCON Baltimore's 13th Annual Rathayatra (Chariot Parade) & Festival of India in downtown Baltimore's world famous Inner Harbor. The festival site will be McKeldin Square (Corner of Light and Pratt St.)
The Parade begins at 12:00pm at the corner of Key Highway and Light Street behind the Science Center at the Inner Harbor, continuing up Light Street and ending at McKeldin Square on the corner of Pratt and Light Streets for the opening ceremonies of the Festival of India starting at 2pm.
This event is free to attend and will feature a vegetarian feast, live music, dance & drama, cultural exhibits, gift shops, books on yoga & meditation, family fun & more!

 "The President's Own" United States Marine Band will launch Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts' summer season with a program of concert band favorites. A fireworks display will follow the concert. At the Filene Center.


25th:

The Parade starts at 10:00 a.m. on Pennsylvania Avenue and ends on Church Street at the Westminster Cemetery. A memorial service will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the cemetery. 

Memorial Day Ceremony (Lutherville Timonium)
The annual Memorial Day ceremony at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens salutes the men and women of the armed forces who have paid the highest price in defense of the United States of America.
